What’s one modern challenge kids are facing today and how can we help them with it?

Social media. Phones. Technology.

Kids are not only being taught by the people around them, they are also being taught by every influencer they follow. Sadie Robertson Huff

We need to instill better boundaries with our phones.

Not only are kids watching people online that are becoming their “mentors” but they feel like they have relationships with them but it is not a relationship.

What is one thing that’s harder about being a parent now than when your parents raised you?

Kids have lost the ability to be creative and entertain themselves because there are countless people on screens wanting to entertain them all the time.

What is one thing from your childhood that you loved that you definitely want to incorporate into Honey’s life?

American Idol, watching TV together as a family.

What is the best part of being a new mom?

Putting priorities in order.

When I say “yes” to something, it has to be a “yes” for my family.

What is the biggest challenge of being a new mom?

The crying.

Grace for each other. Grace for the journey.

How do you hope to instill confidence in your daughter?

Confidence does not come from your appearance or social status. Confidence comes from God.

What did your parents do when you were growing up to help instill confidence in you?

Grace. 

You can only offer grace if you understand what grace means to you.
